Pre Columbian Terra Cotta Set of Ram & Horse with Rider Sculptures. Was told estimated at approx. 1000AD – 1500 AD. but cannot certify. Material is brownish terra cotta pottery clay with beautifully aged patina.
Each measure 4 inches height x 2.5 inches width x 5 inches depth. Notice repairs made with glue on the ram. Hand painted patterns on each of the sculptures. Further research needed.
Acquired in antique shop in New York in the 1950’s by private collector, whom I purchsed these from.
