Lourdes Grobet Argüelles (born 25 July 1940 in Mexico) is a contemporary Mexican photographer, best known for her photographs of Mexican Lucha libre wrestlers.
For more than 20 years, photographer Lourdes Grobet has been part of one of the most popular sports in Mexico: wrestling. This photographic project compiles more than 500 images to reveal the fundamental elements of wrestling, highlighting its theatrics and providing a glimpse of this wildly popular ritual by letting the photographs tell the story.
