Patrons are invited to an intimate, exclusive evening in which Berube will present a selection of items from his private collection of vintage photographs, ephemera, curated objets d’art and drawings for purchase. This is an extraordinary opportunity to comb through his cache of uncommon goods, an inventory of originals being made available for purchase. Pieces range in price from $25 and up, proceeds will feed the ‘Art Beast’ in future projects and Salons.
VanStarkenburg’s Finissage will give art lovers and collectors a last glimpse at the work in Berube’s eclectic space. For those unable to attend the initial limited capacity event, a last chance to see the work in person and speak with the artist one on one for intimate stories and details surrounding the pieces not usually shared in the public domain. “Long time confidante & colleague of Guy Berube, Patti Lefebvre, will be speaking about her role as an Art Consultant in Ottawa. She will divulge her experiences from selling in an enormous, local commercial space with artists churning out best-sellers, to a smaller, content-driven and forward-thinking gallery.
From these vantage points, along with meeting and mingling with the local arts community over the years, Lefebvre will share her insight into the local community. At the core, she will speaking to the necessity of a community to support and invest in their creatives, ultimately a symbiotic relationship”.
