Biografía

Photographer, scholar, producer of the Valparaíso Cultural Park and anarchist. Estudió Fotografía Profesional at the Escuela de Arte y Comunicación del Instituto Profesional Arcos. Obtuvo la beca de Residencia Artística en Fotografía in the City of Valparaíso, a cargo of the Venezuelan artist Nelson Garrido and the Australian artist Max Pam. Also nominated for the prize for the young Chilean photographer “Rodrigo Rojas Denegri” (2009, 2010, 2011 and 2014) and the prize for National Art (2011 and 2013). Ha sido publicado en los libros Contemporary chilean photography 02/CNCA (2010), Residencia artística en fotografía Nelson Garrido(2010), Más pan (2012), y Valparaíso II (2012). It is displayed individually at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, El Centro Cultural Estación Mapocho, Centro Cultural Matucana 100 and La Petite Mort Gallery de Canada.
The artist conceives the photograph as a fiction of reality and a reflection of its mode of ver. Through it, we reveal a fragmented history of drug use, crime, juvenile delinquency, death of friends, families, survivors, rehabilitaciones of crimes and crimes on the street, all of which are found in the community of El Bosque and Valparaíso (Chile).
