Fallen Teeth is an exhibition made up of small drawings on paper and other surfaces that celebrate and embrace the attitude of incompleteness. John Berger once proposed that drawing could be categorized in three ways: as studies of the visible world, as re-envisioned memories, or as constructs of the imagination. Closely considered, the three appear interconnected. While exploring themes of dreams and dreaming, my drawings are born of experience and indulge in impulse that take us away into my imagination, and in turn, into yours. My drawings are sensations, notes, words, letters, perhaps not drawings at all, but means of communication. These little members gather themselves to take on a body. Individually they show snapshots of unstable conditions and imaginary beings; together; they speak, they scream.

I celebrate mark-making, and through my mark-making I desire to evidence a journey. We dream on average seven times each night, even if we do not remember them at all, there are some dreams that we collectively have over and over. Like these reoccurring dreams, my drawings explore and revisit, over and over again, my experiences, memories, and sensations creating a narrative that aims to invite the viewer to wander into a world of beautiful uncertainty, transition, and transformation.
