Amy Alice Thompson (Ottawa, Canada), ‘Posta Romana, One Night Stand Series’ 2006. Mixed Media & Collage framed in custom shadowbox wood frame. Measures 13.25 x 13.25 inches framed. Signed and dated on front and verso. Exhibited at La Petite Mort in 2006 as the first of hundreds of exhibits entitled “One Night Stands” which lasted from 2006 to 2015.

Donated by Suzanne Blouin & Denis Bourdon (Ottawa, Canada) to raise funds for the annual ‘Feed 100 People in Need’ Project in Mexico, Xmas 2023.

Amy Thompson (1971- present) is an Ottawa based visual artist. She studied Fine Art at York University and graduated with Honours from the Ontario College of Art and Design in 1995.  Her work has been exhibited across Canada, the US and Europe.  Thompson works with drawing, painting and collage media together with found materials to create introspective narratives that are often nostalgic and whimsical. Her work explores themes of memory, childhood and the natural world.
