Donation to City of Ottawa Art Collection, Lyle Richardson Drawings, November 2021
Thrilled to announce my private collection of Outsider drawings by Lyle Richardson, has been accepted as a donation by the City of Ottawa Art Collection.
LYLE RICHARDSON 1956 – 2012.
The first Christmas after Lyle passed away in June 2012, we held a fundraiser for various charities, and LPM Gallery gave away 100 drawings by the artist, fully knowing this would make Lyle extremely happy in having is unique work would be seen in some many homes.
These are the remaining works, which I propose as a donation to the City of Ottawa Art Collection.

“A lot of the paintings take on a dream significance. The strip joints, etc., shouldn’t be taken too seriously.
If I retain a spirit of fun when I paint perhaps it’s all worthwhile. Perhaps I just paint the weather”.
