From the last printed page: “Two thousand five hundred copies of this catalog were designed and printed in April, 1936, by William E. Rudge’s Sons for the trustees of the Museum of Modern Art”. Front Cover has an etching by Picasso from “Les Metamorphoses d’Ovide”, published by Skira. The title page has an etching by Matisse from “Poemes” by Mallarme, published by Skira. Introduction by Monroe Wheeler. Profusely illustrated with plates from most of the major artists of the early 20th century. Picasso, Matisse, Calder, Dali, Derain, Dufy, Bonnard, Sloan, Wood, Masereel, Leger, Kent, de Chirico, and so on. A wonderful book.
