´Bald Man with Painted Cup’, Mid Century, Unusual & Unique Hand Painted Portrait on Metal (possibly copper). Signed middle right ´HAYSON’, Unknown artist. Measures 16 x 16 inches. I’ve never come across a piece like this one before; no other details found via research. Could the portrait be a monk holding a ceremonial cup; please notice detail painted on exterior of cup. A rather special artwork. Raw, yet quite beautiful. Also notice, safety pin attached to bottom.I will assume this was originally a metal ceiling tile, as we still see in old bars & establishments. Perhaps with limited resources, the artist decided to shape the tile into the image we see now; innovative & strikingly special.
