Artist Statement:

“I work from a “Latin American Baroque” aesthetic, as an exploration of a political and conceptual language in contemporary photography.

I use analogous photographic techniques especially the Ambrotype and Daguerreotype, these supports represent my philosophical and political position, it is a form of subversion to the neoliberal model that has installed non-professional digital photography as a new tool of social control.

I look for in the construction of scenes a symbolic narrative of our reality and social history. Peoples that are born in resistance, constituting ourselves from the margin, articulating stories in a cultural mess that shapes our visual identity of which I feel militant”.
