Pre Columbian Terra Cotta Rooster Sculpture

Pre Columbian Terra Cotta. Fragment of an original ancient artifact, a depiction of a rooster head, possibly from a vessel. Estimated Approx. 1000AD – 1500 AD. Made a brownish terra cotta pottery clay. Thick & solid. Measures 3.5 width x 3.25 height (inches). The back has an old glue stamp/mark which was probably initally meant for a gallery/display mount. Can be removed if wanted. Acquired via a private sale in Mexico in the mid 1990’s.
